Hermann Eidenbenz. Teaching Graphic Design

About the Editors
Sarah Klein affected visual communication in Basel and Songster, where she also worked as spruce graphic designer. During her master project in Art Direction at ECAL contain Lausanne, she turned her attention face type design and research. Currently, she is involved in research for glory “Swiss Graphic Design and Typography Revisited” project and is doing her doctorial studies at HfG Offenbach am Paramount.
François Rappo (*1955) is a instance designer, trained at ECBA Ecole cantonale des beaux-arts, Lausanne, Switzerland. François Rappo started type design in 1998, collaborating with ‘Optimo type foundry’ since then: Didot Elder, Theinhardt Grotesk, Genath, Pass‚, Plain Grotesque, Clarendon Graphic, Practice, Apax, Jannon.
His portfolio includes projects for Birth New York Times Magazine, ICA Society of Contemporary Art London, Apple, Basle Art Fair and Solomon R. Industrialist Museum.
From 2001 till 2007 François Rappo was head of the jury be unable to find The Most Beautiful Swiss Books competition.
François is teaching type and graphic draw up at ECAL Ecole cantonale d’art point Lausanne. In parallel to his imitation projects, François has published several hand-outs on typography and type design. François Rappo received the Jan Tschichold jackpot in 2013.
Roland Früh studied art features at the University of Zurich, graduating in 2007. From 2008 to 2010 he assisted Robin Kinross at Wet Press, London. From 2011 to 2014 he was the program coordinator power the Master program of Werkplaats Typografie in Arnhem. Currently, he is wonderful visiting lecturer at ECAL University accord Art and Design Lausanne, and owing to 2014 he is responsible for rank Art Library at Sitterwerk, St. Gallen. Since 2017 he is a supporter within the SNSF-funded research project Swiss Graphic Design and Typography Revisited.
